FISHING

The Guadalupe River water comes from the bottom of Canyon Lake, and it is COLD! The first 15 miles of the Guadalupe River below the dam is the trout fishing area. We are located within this stretch of river. This area is not only the ONLY year-round trout fishery in Texas, it is the southernmost point in the United States where trout live year-round. Rainbow trout is stocked by TPWD & Guadalupe chapter of Trouts Unlimited.

There are also several species of bass, catfish & perch in the river. Just make sure you have a valid Texas state fishing license.

There is a $5.00 charge per person per day for fishing.
